Abstract

Our discussion concerns the application of a nonlinear multigrid method based on agglomeration to nonlinear diffusion problems. We will compare the performance of several smoothers, the efficiency of different interpolation and restriction operators, and the efficiency of nonlinear coarse grid operators in a multigrid V-cycle. Our numerical results compare these relaxation methods and transfer grid operators for several nonlinear diffusion problems.
