We present a multi-grid algorithm in order to solve numerically the
thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations.  We specifically adapt the program to
compute the data of the conformal field theory reached in the ultraviolet
limit.

A Proposal for a Sparse BLAS Toolkit

Abstract:

This paper describes a proposal for a ``toolkit'' of kernel routines for some
of the basic operations in (iterative) sparse numerical methods.  In
particular, we describe an interface for routines which perform (i) sparse
matrix times dense matrix product, (ii) the solution of a sparse triangular
system with multiple right-hand-sides, (iii) the right permutation of a sparse
matrix and (iv) a check for the integrity of a sparse matrix representation.
The interfaces for these four operations are defined for a variety of common
data structures and a set of guidelines is given to define interfaces for new
data structures.  The primary purpose of this toolkit is to provide a set of
basic routines upon which the ``User Level Sparse BLAS,'' as described
in~\cite{DuffMarrRadi92}, can be built.

Subject: New MGNET user and request for information and help

I am a Senior Science Specialist with Computer Sciences Corporation, and I am
currently working as a contractor to the US EPA at the Robert S. Kerr
Environmenal Research Lab in Ada Oklahoma.

This Lab's mission to conduct research into the fate and transport of
pollution in groundwater and water supplies.  A major part of this effort is
modeling.

The research staff is interested in using multigrid methods to develop new
models.  These new models can be summarized as fluid flowing through porious
media in saturated and unsaturated conditions.  In addition to the basic flow
problems, pollution transport (which is an avective-dispersive flow problem)
is another class of problems that the research here wish to work with.  These
problem are all ways in the form of differential equations with a set of
boundary conditions.

Since I am new to this method, I can use any help I can get in understanding
and being able of use themethod.  I have logged on to the FTP and downloaded
some of the information contained there.  What I need to understand is how to
formulate the problem (equation set) into a proper form to this method.
